Delivery Policy

At MYMARKETPLACE, we are committed to making sure our sellers and buyers can connect and complete transactions in the most seamless and reliable way possible. This policy outlines the delivery obligations of sellers and the rights and responsibilities of buyers when purchasing from the marketplace.

By using MYMARKETPLACE, sellers agree to abide by the terms set out below.

  1. Delivering Your Items
  2. Sellers are responsible for packaging, dispatching, and delivering the sold items to the buyer. Although MYMARKETPLACE does not handle postage or fulfill delivery services directly, sellers are required to ensure that their customers receive the correct items in a timely and safe manner.

As a seller on MYMARKETPLACE, you agree to:

    1. Provide an accurate "Dispatches from" address on your seller profile.
    2. Clearly outline shipping costs and processing times in your product listings.
    3. Dispatch items within the time frame agreed in your product listing. Sellers must dispatch the items within the specified time unless you and the buyer agree to extend the processing time through direct communication.
    4. Adhere to all local and international shipping and customs regulations.
    5. Deliver items to the shipping address provided by the buyer during checkout.
    6. Mark the order as dispatched in your seller panel once the item is shipped. This notification will be sent to the buyer automatically upon marking the order as dispatched.
    7. Sellers are free to charge for delivery or offer free shipping. It's essential to be transparent about any associated costs.
    8. If you provide tracking information for shipments, you grant us permission to share this information with the buyer as part of the delivery process.

If a buyer does not receive their order, they may file a case against your shop. You must then provide proof of dispatch to the shipping address provided by the buyer on MYMARKETPLACE, such as a receipt or tracking number, to resolve the issue.

  3. Delivery Insurance
  4. We recommend that sellers protect their items during shipping, especially high-value goods. Sellers may choose to purchase third-party insurance to cover the cost of any potential damage or loss.

If you wish to purchase shipping insurance, please consult your chosen carrier or a third-party insurance provider.

Note: MYMARKETPLACE does not provide insurance directly, so it is the seller's responsibility to ensure their goods are properly covered.

  5. Tracking and Delivery Confirmation
  6. Sellers are encouraged to provide tracking information for their shipments. Tracking information offers buyers peace of mind and allows both parties to monitor the progress of their orders. Once a seller marks an item as dispatched, the system will notify the buyer and include any tracking information, if available.

While tracking is not mandatory, it can help resolve any disputes regarding non-delivery. Without tracking, the seller may be asked to prove the item was dispatched.

  7. Fees
  8. Sellers are responsible for all shipping fees related to their orders. The total delivery cost may vary depending on the seller's location, the buyer's location, the weight of the item, and any additional services (such as insurance or expedited delivery) chosen by the seller.

MYMARKETPLACE does not charge any fees for postage or shipping services directly, but it is essential that sellers are transparent about the costs associated with delivering their products.

Sellers should ensure they factor in all relevant delivery charges when pricing their products.

  9. International Deliveries
  10. As MYMARKETPLACE serves a global audience, we ask that sellers take extra care when dispatching international orders. This includes:

    • Ensuring compliance with international customs regulations.
    • Clearly stating any additional customs duties, taxes, or charges the buyer might incur.
    • Being prepared for possible shipping delays due to customs processing.
    • If a buyer is located outside of the seller's country, it's important to inform the buyer of potential additional costs and delivery times associated with international shipping.

  11. Returns and Refunds
  12. Sellers are encouraged to clearly state their return policy in their listings, including whether they accept returns and under what conditions. For any returns or disputes, the seller and buyer should communicate directly to resolve the issue.

If the seller offers returns, they should ensure the correct return postage is provided.

If items are damaged or lost in transit, the seller should work with their chosen delivery partner to resolve the issue, which may include initiating claims for lost or damaged goods.

MYMARKETPLACE does not handle returns or process refunds directly, but we encourage open communication between buyers and sellers to resolve such matters amicably.

  13. Delivery Partners
  14. Sellers are free to choose their preferred delivery partners (e.g., Royal Mail, DHL, UPS, etc.) when fulfilling orders. We recommend using a reputable carrier to ensure the safe and timely delivery of items.

Sellers are responsible for reviewing and complying with the terms and conditions of the selected delivery carrier.

If sellers choose to use additional services (such as shipping insurance or global delivery aggregators), they must ensure that these services meet their delivery needs and align with MYMARKETPLACE's delivery expectations.

  15. Delivery Issues and Support
  16. In the rare event of a delivery issue (such as delays, lost or damaged items), sellers should immediately contact their delivery provider for support. In case of unresolved issues, buyers are encouraged to reach out to MYMARKETPLACE for assistance in resolving disputes.

By using MYMARKETPLACE, both buyers and sellers agree to the above terms and acknowledge that they are responsible for their own delivery arrangements.
